A sense of softness in rigidity.

This drawing is made on an iPad. The screen holds the stroke as an etching plate holds ink, and there is no paper original behind it. This print is therefore not a reproduction of an earlier work, but the drawing's first physical form.

Drawn each morning as a ritual, or a secular prayer. To ensure the integrity of the moment, I work with rapid strokes, like a calligrapher.

I chose the paper carefully, to ensure a tactile & visual experience of exceptional quality. Thanks to a collaboration with POV—a renowned fine art print studio based in Los Angeles, California—a museum-quality result is achieved by utilizing water-based pigment inks featuring the highest degree of permanence currently available: Epson equipment (models P10000/P20000/P9000) on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Bright White archival paper (310 gsm, 100% cotton).

The certificate is printed on Asuka Natural paper—a premium washi produced in Japan by Ishikawa Mill.
